So I had intended for my first post to be about art but...then I saw the Christian Dior 2009/10 Haute Couture show pictures and I thought screw art. My eyes then proceeded to fall out of my face for obvious reasons.

Amazing. I shall never doubt John Galliano's design skills. He is a God among tiny gay men who like to dress up like the captains of ships <3 href="http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c48/Lolita_Grace/Blog/?action=view&current=ChristianDiorHauteCoutureFW09-10-1.jpg" target="_blank">
The particularly FIERCE fivesome below just hurt me.

And finally instead of me babbling on about it here's who I think are some of the possible influences for the show. I know my friend Paul would appreciate all of this extravagance.

Charles Anastase's Spring 09 show with the layered nude taffeta and hold ups. Madonna in leopard, forever Madonna; Madonna now and Madonna's crimped bouffant in the 80's. Bettie Page again for the hold ups and 50's pin up charm. Obviously Sophia Loren for makeup with the high groomed brows and painted lips. YUM.
