I think these two shoots serve as a perfect complimentary piece to Stella Im Hultberg's fresh and feminine artwork. First the dark: the photographic, conceptual genius that is Tim Walker. What I wouldn't give to meet him and pick his brains. Not that you need to-he practically spills them across the page. He also keeps sketchbooks filled with concept collages for shoots. They are a thing to behold. Here he shoots Hannelore Knuts for Vogue Italia in 'A Play of Dots'.

I love this one and how the mirror itself is a dot, reflecting back her lips.

Every image is styilised down to the toes. Honestly the composition is amazing. Especially in that last one. Those Sienna Miller hold-you-in granny pants never looked so good.

Secondly...and perhaps despite the candyfloss lighting, even darker than the first set; a shoot by head of fashion house Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci (genius! one of the few fashion designers I know of who can actually draw) with Natasha Poly in those infamous glittered Nina Ricci floating platform boots. For MUSE magazine.

It brings to mind hauntings, possessions, exorcisms. But who could honestly say that they had not been possessed by a fashion trend at some point or another. I am currently possessed by lace and cloaks instead of coats. The stairs and the back lighting also bring to mind prom scenes in cheesey films where the beautiful daughter descends the staircase to greet her date...except here she isn't going to greet her date she's going to eat him! Carrie & Megan Fox ala 'Jennifer's Body' had a soul hungry baby.
