I never seem to be lacking in wonderful films to wait for.
1. Brothers by Jim Sheridan starring Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal & Tobey Maguire
Amazing cast let loose on a dark character study with the director of 'In America'. Sounds like foolproof cinematic magic.
2.Cracks by Jordan Scott starring Eva green, Juno Temple, Imogen Poots & Maria Valverde.
Atmospheric private school story of mystery, corruption & intrigue. Oh yum. Schoolgirls & femme fatales. What more could you want in life? Hell is other people & teenagers seem to exploit this tiny fact in dramas on television & in highschool hallways be it now or back in the 1930-40's. Named a female version of 'Lord of the Flies' it's the reason they'll never make a teenage version of a show like Big Brother. How sad. I think it'd make quality viewing.
3. Humble Pie from the producer of 'Napoleon Dynamite'.
Film festival winner with an unlikely leading man & dry wit sense of humour.
4. Valentines Day from director Gary Marshall and starring Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner.
I'm not a sucker for romantic-comedies but this one has an all star Hollywood cast like the aim of the movie was to fit in more attractive actors than Twilight but ones with actual talent & a sense of humour. DONE.
5. The Messenger directed by Oren Moverman & starring Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton, Jena Malone.
Sundance nominee. The one that most excites me of the bunch. With it's cast of indie veterans Jena Malone & Ben Foster this looks amazing. Complex portrait of morality based around the US army. It's rivetting & relevant and alot of people are either gonna relate to it or it's gonna cause a lot of controversy. I hope it's as a great as it looks.
My name is Jasmin but I've always liked boys with girls' names and names that end in -ie.
I'm an insomniac. I like to stay up late to watch the sky change from blue to black to beige and blue again. I'm a critically indecisive realist whose in love with the little things. I enjoy writing lists and schedules but never stick to them. I want to learn to do a million things like speak Swedish, play guitar, skateboard, hula hoop and play poker. My mind is always turning over a million things but I am a simple girl and I never ask for much. I'm a typical nerd and I'm excited by fashion, photography, books, ideas and theories.
I could pour through books and magazines until my eyes dribbled down my face in a torrent of glitter and sequins. It's true.
I like to paint what I write, write what I think and photograph what I see.
