Good To Be Home

I know that it's been awhile but I've had a bit of an upheaval in the home situation which means my internet access isn't as amazing as it used to be. Let's ease back into things with a good old Music Monday post. Here are some new tunes.

1. Ambling Amp by Yeasayer

I've been sort of addicted to this song for awhile. I'm not sure if it's the kooky video, the repetitive, feel-good chorus or the drumming but for some reason I love it. Hope you do too.

2. You Don't Know Love by Editors

A jealousy, paranoia fuelled fight between lovers with that beautiful deep voice I so love to hear. This feels like it needs to be in a movie montage.

3. Heartless by The Fray

A raw and natural version of Kanye West's song. My brother got me hooked on this but it's so tragic sounding it'd be hard not to love it. I think the anger comes across in a much more subtle way in this cover.

4. Shame by The Avett Brothers

Okay so only two of these songs are new. I'm not really liking any of the new releases and haven't been on a new music hunt in awhile-so shoot me but these are still good songs I think.

5. Fade Into You by Mazzy Star

We all know this one we just don't know where from-is it from a 90's film? I think it sort of sums up the feel for the Spring that is to come.

Snapshot of a Ghost

My name is Jasmin but I've always liked boys with girls' names and names that end in -ie.
I'm an insomniac. I like to stay up late to watch the sky change from blue to black to beige and blue again. I'm a critically indecisive realist whose in love with the little things. I enjoy writing lists and schedules but never stick to them. I want to learn to do a million things like speak Swedish, play guitar, skateboard, hula hoop and play poker. My mind is always turning over a million things but I am a simple girl and I never ask for much. I'm a typical nerd and I'm excited by fashion, photography, books, ideas and theories. I could pour through books and magazines until my eyes dribbled down my face in a torrent of glitter and sequins. It's true. I like to paint what I write, write what I think and photograph what I see.
